
Welcome, to Summerville’s comprehensive Phonics and Reading program that is specifically designed for the unique Asian child who hails from a non-native English-speaking environment. With more than 25 years of experience, our progressive literacy program has been adopted in several Private Pre-schools and Childcare Centres and PCF kindergartens. Children are exposed to various interactive literary activities to engage and stimulate their love for reading.

This program has 8 levels. Each level has 8 lessons that are 1 hour long. Students will follow a
structured reading program. Each level builds upo the skills mastered in the previous one.
Levels 1 to 3 : Beginner 41/2 – 5years
Levels 4 to 6 : Intermediate 5 – 6years
Levels 7 to 8 : Advance 6-8 years

We use a multi-sensory approach to cover all essential literacy components. It includes:
Letter & Sound Recognition: mastering the alphabet and phonemic awareness
Blending: Connecting sounds to form words effortlessly
Sight Words: Building a library of high-frequency words for reading fluency.
Reading and Writing: Applying skills to form full sentences and creative expression.

Target Age: 4.5years onwards
Midway Admission:
To ensure students can keep up with the progression, midway entry through a Trial Session is reserved strictly for K2 students only.
